Peoria is a city in both Maricopa and Yavapai counties in Arizona. It is situated on the northwest part of Phoenix downtown and the major suburb of Phoenix. Peoria started as a humble agricultural community in 1886 and was incorporated on June 7, 1954. As of 2020 Census, the city population was about 191,000.
